The starting point of the composition was the painting “Mandala I (Building)” by Stelios Faitakis. This work evokes the sensation one experiences when lying on the grass and gazing at the sky, imagining it transforming into the surface of the sea. It is an experience of perceptual shift, where up and down, inside and outside, cease to be fixed.
In the sound composition, I attempted to organize and convey this very sensation: a sense of wonder toward space, the fluidity of boundaries, and the transformation of perception. Through processing, the sounds create an environment in which the listener is invited to question what lies “inside” and what lies “outside.”
