The project is part of the thesis “All i see is in constant motion” and seeks to highlight the imprint that visual information leaves as a residual trace in the eye. Inspired by Goethe’s studies on color and vision, it invites the viewer to compose an image of the visual traces that are formed daily on the retina but usually go unnoticed. Participants are invited to watch short animation works created by the artist, depicting moments of urban wandering. After the screening, they focus on the afterimages that remain in the eye and attempt to render these fleeting impressions, recording the trace that the image leaves on their perception. The collection of the produced drawings forms an archive of perceptual experiences. Through this process, the project aims to emphasize the necessity of decompressing the eye in the contemporary era.
