Professors I. Zannos, A. Loufopoulos, A. Floros and T. Valianatos partticipate via their works and research presentations at the fesival 'InSonic 2020', which is held online employing new broadcast technologies. The festival explores new formats and artistic practises, and this year is hosted by the ZKM-Herz Lab, in cooperation with EASTN-DC European Art-Science-Technology Network for Digital Creativity).

Apulia Film Commision Foundation organizes a 3 days online workshop for Italian and Greek operators in the frame of CIAK project.The initiative aims to explore the national and international evolution related to the new cinema and audiovisual productions and television industry, in addition to the new trends and distribution media.

On Monday, December 7th, 2020, at 17:00 CET, an Informational Event (Promotional Event) will be held within the framework of the CIAK project ("Common Initiatives to AcKnowledge and valorize tourism potential of the programme area through cinema"). The second Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2020, organized and promoted by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University had exceeded our expectations with more than 1.200 submissions.

Τhe fourth international conference "Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science" will take place November 26–28, 2020, exclusively online as TTT2020 Vienna/Online, an umbilical cord between what would be and what it is. Including theoretical and art practice presentations, TTT2020 continues to focus: (a) on questions about the nature of the forbidden and aesthetics of liminality as expressed in art that uses or is inspired by technology and science; (b) on the opening of spaces for creative transformation in the merging of science and art. TTT2020 Vienna/Online will have one unique streaming channel with a 12 hours program/day followed by a recorded re-stream for audiences in other time zones. This means 24h a day for three days non-stop! The program of TTT2020 is divided in four categories in a total of twenty-three Sessions, six Roundtables, five ArtBox events and three Open Mic Q&A sessions.

The Interactive Arts Laboratory 'inArts' of the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the Ionian University participates in the 16th Athens Digital Arts Festival with 70 works by undergraduate, graduate students, students of the newly established OPEN ART Lifelong Learning Program, graduates and faculty. The Exhibition is taking place in Asomaton square and the pedestrian street of Ermou (THISIO Station), from Thursday, October 8 until Sunday, October 18.

The 4th World Congress on Geriatrics and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research “GeNeDis 2020″ entitled ‘Health in Aging and Mental Wellness in the new digital era’ will be held exclusively online, 8th to 11th October, 2020. GOLEM - To be generative in solidarity rather than creative in solitude is an online collective performance event, curated by the collaborator of InArts Francesco Kiais. The virtual exhibition space will open to the public on June 5, with the vernissage at 18.00 GMT+3, which will be a presentation of the guests’ of honor participating artworks. On June the 6th and 7th the virtual exhibition space will be open to the public where an archive of the participating works will be presented.
