The deadline for the submission of full papers for the works presented in DCAC-2021 has been extended up to November 15th, 2021 (hard deadline).

Two sound installations created by Luc Messinezis, PhD candidate (Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts), will be presented as part of the 17th Athens Digital Art Festival (ADAF), which will take place from the 13th until the 17th of October at the Museum of Modern Greek Culture and other locations around the area of Monastiraki and Plaka. The 1st artwork is called "Flowers" and the 2nd "Natural Perversion [Physical Edition]".

OPEN ART celebrates the success of the ARTIST LAB program by participating in the 17th Athens Digital Arts Festival. Dalila Honorato, Associate Professor at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University, recently joined the new Editorial Organism group of the journal "Technoetic Arts" published by Intellect. The journal founded in 2003 by Honorary Professor Roy Ascott, publishes three issues each year.

The 14th Audiovisual Arts Festival programme completed with great success its artistic, educational and scientific activities. The live activities lasted 18 days, from 13 to 31 May 2021. The steering committee of the 14th Audiovisual Arts Festival warmly thanks its audiences for their support to all the actions throught these days: the particularly encouraging comments strengthen the efforts for the next Audiovisual Arts Festival!

Postponement of Erasmus+ Incoming and Outgoing Mobilities - students and staff- for Spring Semester 2020-21 due to COVID-19

On Monday 08/02/2021 and Friday 12/02/2021 Dr. Iakovos Panagopoulos is invited by Prof. Erik Knudsen and University of Central Lancashire to run a workshop with Prof. Knudsen organized by the Institute of Citizenship Society and Change of University of Central Lancashire. The title of the workshop is "Participatory Online Stakeholder Engagement-POSE and aims at training the U.C.Lan. teaching stuff.

Open Art announces the start of the 2nd course in the Spring Semester. The program is entirely distance learning and courses are delivered through modern and asynchronous educational technology.
