Selected video works created by students from the Audiovisual Arts Festival 2014 were screened at the Festival de Cinema de Avanca, Portugal, which took place during 18-27 July 2014. This annual festival is in its 18th version and is an international meeting point for researchers, members of the academic community, students, directors and other professionals connected to Cinema, Television, Video and Multimedia, as well as audience members.

The screening, which had two hours length, was introduced by the President of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Associate Professor Marianne Strapatsakis, in 23 July 2014, guest speaker at the 5th international conference AVANCA | CINEMA, organized within the Festival, to present the paper Video Art in Greece and its connection to Cinema and selected video from her artwork. The screening of video works created by students was followed by discussion and questions concerning the department, and cooperation proposals were presented by the University of Taiwan and Hong Kong. In the presentation also participated the PhD candidate Athanasia Vidali, who is carrying out a four month research at the Center for Philosophy of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
