Renata Dalianoudi, Associate Professor in the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, undertakes the scientific curation and presentation, for yet another year, of the performance “Exis… When Habit Becomes Lived Experience” by the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Chalkida.
Six women, six stages, six regions: Epirus, Crete, Chios, Asia Minor, Thessaly, and Eastern Rumelia. The symbolic number six unfolds through audiovisual narratives, dance, song, customs and traditions, light, and sound, all of which are transformed into habit, lived experience, and hexis.
This music and dance performance is imbued with symbolism and representational elements drawn from the folk culture of the Greek countryside.
