The Department of Audio & Visual Arts and Rewilding Cultures at the Europe Direct Ionian Islands – PRAXI Network Event, 14.5.2026, Ionian Academy

The Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University will participate in the inaugural event of the Europe Direct Ionian Islands – PRAXI Network office entitled “Europe in the Region of the Ionian Islands,” which will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Ionian Academy in Corfu.

The Department will be represented by Dr. Marily Argyrokastriti, member of the Interactive Arts Laboratory (InArts Lab), who will present the experiences and outcomes of the Ionian University’s participation in the European project Rewilding Cultures, as part of the section “Projects Implemented in the Region of the Ionian Islands.”

Rewilding Cultures is a Creative Europe project that develops international collaborations between art, science, and society through artistic research, participatory practices, educational initiatives, and collective models of creation, with a focus on sustainability, inclusion, and cultural innovation.

The participation of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts in the event highlights its ongoing presence and contribution to European programmes and international collaborative networks that connect artistic practice with contemporary social, ecological, and technological issues.
