The Center for Historical and Folklore Research “Apollon” (Karditsa) and the Department of Early Childhood Education/ University of Thessaly, in collaboration with the Region of Thessaly, the Municipality and the Chamber of Karditsa, are organizing the 9th Panhellenic Conference on Dance and Folklore, titled: “Dance in the Community: Rituals, Festivities, Feasts, Education,” which will take place in Karditsa, September 26–28, 2025.

Renata Dalianoudi, Associate Professor at the Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts, Ionian University, member of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, in collaboration with Panagiotis Sdoukos, performer and PhD candidate, will present the paper: “From the Folk Song and Popular Rituals to the Post-Folk Audiovisual Cinematic Performance: A Meta-Ethnomusicological Approach” on Sunday, September 28, 2025, 12:00–12:30 p.m.

The event takes place in Karditsa, September 26-28, 2025.
