The Animation Festival ICONA 2023, which took place from November 30th to December 3rd 2023, exclusively online, by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, was successfully completed.
The festival program included both professional and student competitions. A total of 303 films from 59 countries were screened.

ICONA FESTIVAL 2023 AWARDS/CEREMONY
The artistic committee consisted of the Director of the Festival Konstantinos Tiligadis, Professor at Ionian University and Deputy Head of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, the Vice President of ASIFA Hellas Panagiotis Kyriakoulakos, Assistant Professor of the University of the Aegean, the Independent Animator Alekos Papadatos and the Project Manager of ADDART Dimitris Savvaidis evaluated the films and awarded the following Awards 2023
The Festival's Award Ceremony took place online on Sunday, December the 3rd, 2023. The ceremony started with the greetings by the Chair of the organizing committee of the Festival, Associate Professor Michail Panagopoulos, the Head of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Professor Andreas Giannakoulopoulos, the Head of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Corfu Dimitrios Metallinos, the representative of the Film Office of the Ionian Islands Region, Antzela Krokidi, the Director of the ICONA Festival Professor Konstantinos Tiligadis, the Vice President of ASIFA Hellas and Assistant Professor of the University of the Aegean Panagiotis Kyriakoulakos and the Project Manager of ADDART Dimitris Savvaidis.
The best part of the ceremony was the participation of several of the winners - from Germany, Greece, Portugal, United Kingdom - who received their awards and spoke about their films and experiences from their participation in the ICONA Festival 2023.
