The 15th Audiovisual Arts Festival by the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University, in collaboration with the Chania Film Festival (https://chaniafilmfestival.com/cffedu/) is organizing a discussion titled “Documentary in Education”.
The director of the Chania Film Festival Matthaios Frantzeskakis, will attend the online discussion presenting us their educational programmes and emphasizing on the importance of oral history.
In this online meeting the Department of Audio & Visual Arts will be represented by its faculty members Angelos Floros, Assistant Professor, Agni Papadopoulou, Assistant Professor and coordinator of PPETTHXE (Pedagogical Sufficiency Program), Iakovos Panagopoulos, Academic Scholar and director, Christina Mitsani, Special Teaching Staff., Maria Krigka, Special Teaching Staff.
This discussion is addressing the educational community of Corfu, teachers of Primary and Secondary Education and aims to investigate the level of digital skills in education, to suggest new ways of thinking through programmes such as Art Education using New Media while, on the other hand, pointing out the difficulties in realizing innovative projects.
