Cirkulacija 2 is an artists' initiative based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Founded in 2007 and formally registered as an association in 2009, it functions as an interdisciplinary platform supporting a broad range of artistic activities, from individual projects to large-scale festivals. The name reflects its commitment to evolving practices through continuous projects and experimentation pointin out the procesual nature of artists’ work.

As an artist-run space and local hub, it is dedicated to preserving independent artistic production, emphasizing values distinct from the traditional art market, such as mutual support, shared practices, and social cohesion.

The collective operates on principles of flexibility and process-oriented experimentation, inspired by tactical media and temporary frameworks. Its focus lies in creating dynamic, living forms of expression across diverse media, including body, sound, radio, video, robotics, mechanical devices, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, etc. 

Over 17 years, Cirkulacija 2 has remained contemporary by integrating younger members, fostering the transfer of knowledge and skills between generations. This approach brings fresh perspectives while maintaining its identity as a forward-thinking, sustainable space for independent art-making. Whether self-producing or partnering with other organizations, Cirkulacija 2 stands as a model for innovative and community-focused artistic practices.
