AV-school hosts educational activities that take place in the framework of the Audiovisual Arts Festival. From its beginning, in 2006, the Festival presented in its program workshops & seminars focusing on theoretical and practical contents related with new media arts, such as 3D Animation, SuperCollider, electroacoustic music, radio art, virtual environments, psychogeography, research methodology and circuit bending.

In 2015 these educational activities got their own reference in the website of the Audiovisual Arts Festival, with the seminars "Art & Communication", in collaboration with the University of Athens, followed, in 2016, by the strong presentation of 18 workshops and seminars.

In 2017 and 2018 takes place the series "Hybrid Art", and the extension of educational topics to issues of art & biology as well as space & embodiment.

The educational activities to be presented online in the next AV-school 2021, within the framework of the 14th Audiovisual Arts Festival, are open to all members of the academic community and general public. Registration to both workshops and seminars is free of charge and a certificate of attendance will be provided to all attendees.
