AV-school 2015, dedicated to the theme "Art and Communication" and integrated in the 9th Audiovisual Arts Festival, is a collaboration between the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University supported by the “Kostis Palamas” program.
The overall project aims to provide knowledge and skills on communication and the Greek culture, and additionally to cultivate a critical perception on the researches on communication studies in the broader context of culture and education. The program is addressed to teachers and adults working in the sectors of tourism, culture and journalism, as well as to those interested in the aforementioned fields, envisioning to advertise and promote the national cultural product.

The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University is pleased to announce the opening of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu from Thursday, May 8 to Sunday, May 18. On Thursday 08/05/2025 at 19:30 at the People's Garden (Gallery of the Municipality of Central Corfu) the opening of the 18th Festival of Audiovisual Arts (8 May - 18 May 2025) will take place.

The AV-school, the seminar and workshop series of the Audio-Visual Arts Festival, will take place at the Public Central Historical Library of Corfu, from May 12 to 16, 2025. This year’s theme, "Intersections", invites participants from all backgrounds who are interested in contemporary art and new technologies.
