The Ionian University, through its Interactive Arts Laboratory (InArts Lab), announces the presentation of TTTLabs Official VR World as part of Postorganic Futures at The Wrong Biennale, the world’s largest decentralized digital art biennale. This initiative forms part of the international dissemination activities of the EU-funded Rewilding Cultures.

We are pleased to share that Makery has published a full-length article reflecting on the 6th edition of Taboo–Transgression–Transcendence in Art & Science, held this September at Kino Šiška, Ljubljana. Written by Chrysa Chouliara, Makery’s summer chronicler-in-residency for the Rewilding Cultures program, the article offers an attentive and embodied account of the symposium’s atmosphere, energies, and intellectual provocations.

Please note that only a limited number of texts can be included in the journal; therefore, we advise all authors to also submit to the book.

The sixth international conference Taboo–Transgression–Transcendence in Art & Science (TTT2025) has come to a close in Slovenia, after five days of intense exchange between artists, scholars, and members of diverse creative communities. Hosted at Kino Šiška, the event was organized in partnership with Zavod Projekt Atol, the Ionian University, and the Pixxelpoint 2025 festival in the context of GO!2025 European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica–Gorizia, with contributions from Kapelica Gallery, Cirkulacija 2, and the Museum of Architecture and Design, and with the support of the Greek Embassy in Ljubljana, the Slovenian Ministry of Culture, the City of Ljubljana, and the University of Nova Gorica.

We are looking for writers and researchers to contribute chapters to the upcoming Feral Labs Node Book #3: Fa Fa Futures — the final volume of the Rewilding Cultures project (Creative Europe, 2021–2026). Each writer will be paired with one Feral Labs institution and provided with curated documentation (reports, images, transcripts, contextual notes) to produce a reflective, research-informed chapter.

On behalf of the Ionian University, we are pleased to announce that Kim Doan Quoc will be developing research as part of a mobility grant awarded through the Rewilding Cultures project. Selected from over 80 applicants, Kim is one of eight artists and researchers chosen by a panel representing all partner organizations of the Rewilding Cultures network. This grant supports transdisciplinary exploration and critical practices across Europe, and we are proud that Kim’s work will contribute to this vibrant and timely initiative.
Ionian University Supported Art Researcher Explores Indigenous Dance as Anti-Colonial Resistance

Ghazal Ramzani, a Berlin-based Iranian dancer and choreographer, has completed groundbreaking research connecting indigenous dance practices to anti-colonial and ecological movements across Europe supported by Ionian University. Ramzani, who received funding through the Rewilding Cultures Mobility Conversation program in 2024, traveled by train across Europe to interview practitioners of indigenous dances rooted in resistance movements. Ramzani holds a Master of Fine Arts in Contemporary Performative Arts from the University of Gothenburg and received formal training in Kathak dance at the National School of Kathak in New Delhi. She was previously awarded the Indian Council of Arts and Culture recognition and the Artisens Vanner scholarship.

TTTfellows: Art and Science Residency II, March 18th to 29th, 2024, featured artists developing projects that examined artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, germline gene editing, and zombie studies, in the islands of Othonoi and Corfu, merged art and technology to critique ectogenesis and its entanglement with state biopolitics, highlighting ethical and aesthetic dimensions of these practices. Artists Clarissa Ribeiro and Robert Lisek participated as fellows, with Dalila Honorato and Adam Zaretsky serving as art and science coordinators for the program.
