A new film by Serafim Parsaloglou Marathias, student at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, TTTlabs BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC): New Repro-Zombie Studies (NR-ZS) – Undead Bioart / Bodyart on the Beach, offers a closer look at a unique art camp held from April 5-14, 2024, at the Annex of the Athens School of Fine Arts in Rethymno, Crete.

Organized by the team of the Interactive Arts Laboratory of the Ionian University as part of the Feral Labs Network within the EU-funded Rewilding Cultures project, the event brought together artists and researchers to explore themes such as reproductive technologies, genetic manipulation, and the concept of the "non-living organism."

Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Participants included WhiteFeather Hunter, Marko Markovic, Kim Doan Quoc, Wave (Weeratouch) Pongruengkiat, Natalie Jeremijenko, Prathima Muniyappa, Anastasia Mandel, Shih Wei Chieh, Viktoria Koniaeva, Kelly Tarenidi, Elli Leventeri, Serafim Parsaloglou Marathias, Uroš Veber and Elizabeth Littlejohn. Guided by Adam Zaretsky and Dalila Honorato, the event combined scientific inquiry and artistic practice in a series of workshops and performances.

The film documents these interactions, capturing both the process and the outcomes of the art camp.
