Ioannis Kapodistrias: From the pages of history to the act of performance, as a connecting link between space, memory, and continuity
Date and Time: 14/05/2026 (09:00-11:00 EEST)
Location: Corfu Central Public Historical Library: room "Evi Laskari"

A masterclass-discussion on acting as an immersion into experience and a homecoming. Ιn Corfu, transcending its role as a simple stage to become a living site of memory, Natalia Kapodistria, as both actor and descendant, enlists her ancestral and local roots as a creative thread. She explores how the memory of a place is transmuted into a vivid, pulsating performative act that connects the past with the present. This interpretive approach is reflected in her artistic choices, such as her participation in The Straw Hats (the television adaptation of Margarita Lymberaki’s celebrated novel), her role as Serena in Maria Iliou’s film Alexandria, and her performance in Tassos Boulmetis’s A Touch of Spice, highlighting a methodology that transforms lived experiences into a vibrant stage presence.
