Natalia Kapodistria

Born in Athens, she graduated with honors from the National Theatre of Greece Drama School in 1987. In the theatre, she has collaborated with acclaimed directors and artists, including Alexis Minotis, Spyros Evangelatos, Yannis Houvardas, Jacques Lassalle, Maya Lyberopoulou, Stavros Tsakiris, Peris Michailidis, Konstantinos Arvanitakis, Sotiris Karamesinis, Stefanos Kotsikos, Nana Nikolaou, Nestor Kopsidas, and Varvara Douka.
Her performances span productions with the National Theatre of Greece, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the Municipal and Regional Theatres (DI.PE.THE.) of Corfu, Kalamata, Patras, Volos, and Kozani, the Theatre of the South, the Amphi-Theatre, as well as international stages such as the Festival d’Avignon, La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York, Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Sicily, and the Globo Teatro Festival in Reggio Calabria. She has also appeared at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) and in numerous independent theatre productions across Greece.
In cinema, she has worked with directors such as Vassilis Vafeas, Yannis Smaragdis, George Zervoulakos, Giorgos Kordelas, Maria Iliou, Tassos Boulmetis, Alexis Alexiou, Alkis Davis, and Pierre Alain Meier. Her television career includes various series for both state and private channels, notably starring in the ERT series The Straw Hats (as Infanta) and the MEGA series O Kakos Veziris (as Anita Rasia). She has also appeared in TV shows, docudramas, and conferences dedicated to the Greek Revolution of 1821 and the life and work of Ioannis Kapodistrias.
A member of the National Society of Greek Authors, she is actively involved in writing, adapting, and translating literary and theatrical texts, as well as television and film scripts. She is also a lyricist and librettist, collaborating with renowned composers. Her writings have been published in online media and literary journals, and she has published a poetry collection titled In the Gardens of Psirikota. Her French-to-Greek translation of Roxandra Stourdza’s unpublished diary, Scattered Diary Leaves, is currently forthcoming.
Since 2011, she has resided in her ancestral home of Corfu, contributing significantly to the island’s cultural life. She collaborates as a director, scriptwriter, actor, and narrator with the "Old" (Palaia) and "Mantzaros" Philharmonic Societies, the DI.PE.THE. of Corfu, the Municipalities of Central and South Corfu, the Ionian Islands Region, the Reading Society of Corfu, the Kapodistrias Museum, and the Medico-Surgical Society of Corfu.
As a self-taught visual artist, she has undertaken the costume and set design for numerous theatrical productions and artistic events, while her watercolors have been showcased in both solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
