AV-School 2026 focuses on the thematic unit "Transfigurations" Art, Creative Technology, Contribution, and Intervention. Through a multidimensional program, this year’s edition explores the dynamics of flow and an experience that remains fluid, open to constant reshaping. Audiovisual creations, serving as a prime space for observation, critical thinking, and creativity, utilize new intersections and—by multiplying connections and narratives—interweave worlds.

AV-School Educational Activities:

  • Official Opening: A keynote speech by Professor Panagiotis Anastasiadis at the Central Library of the Ionian University, titled "Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence in Education: Contemporary Challenges."
  • Two-day Workshop:"Tuning into Life: Hospital, Volunteers, and Artists." This workshop empowers voluntary blood donation groups and students by utilizing modern audiovisual communication. Participants: Adamantia Englezopoulou (Manager General Hospital of Corfu), Vasileios Andriotis (Director of the Blood Donation of the General Hospital of Corfu), Anastasios Nikolouzos (President of the Association of Volunteer Blood Donors and Bone Marrow Donors of Corfu "PANDOTIS", Secretary General of the Panhellenic Federation of Volunteer Blood Donor Associations (P.O.S.E.A.), and Ionian University faculty members: Agnes Papadopoulou (Assoc. • Acting Masterclass & Inclusive Filmmaking: A session-discussion on acting methodology and role immersion with Natalia Kapodistria. This is followed by the workshop "Cinema for All: Inclusive Production Practices" led by Vilelmini Sosoni (Assoc. The workshop introduces participants to the principles of inclusive filmmaking, a creative approach aimed at making cinema more equitable, open, and representative.
