Eeva-Liisa Puhakka is an interdisciplinary artist (MSc, MFA), whose artistic endeavors focus on creating multimedia installations that examine our senses. She works in practices that include olfactory art, installations, sculptures, bio art, sound and text. Over the past years, she has dedicated her research and artistic practice to exploring the olfactory problems/language/realms, human-nonhuman relationships, investigation of human and animal dependence, rural depopulation and biodegradable materials. She also works regularly in a curatorial/production role and is the chair of Art center/Art association of Antares in the southeast of Finland, and is a member of Artists with Evidence.
