This November (11–20.11.2025), Visiting Professor Adam Zaretsky will be in residency at Kitchen Lab Tarvo, a transdisciplinary process and Hackteria node led by artist-organiser Andrew Gryf Paterson in the West Helsinki–Espoo borderlands.

During his stay, Zaretsky will engage in Archival Tendencies and the 4Rs processrest, read, regenerate, residency—while Paterson simultaneously undertakes a micro-residency at the Bioart Society (17–30.11.2025). This convergence of experimental research and slow-time practice reflects MARes in Hybrid Arts’ commitment to the research of process-based artistic methodologies that reimagine the intersections of art, science, and life.

Founded in 2022 and co-founding member of the Art Archipelago Helsinki Network (2023), Kitchen Lab Tarvo is a hybrid kitchen-library-event space dedicated to participatory and ecological arts. It operates without public funding, relying on peer-based contributions via Patreon patreon.com/agryfp to support artist residencies and maintains a space where feminist, queer, anti-fascist, and sustainable futures are nurtured through shared meals, conversations, and hybrid artistic practices.
