This initiative is co-organized by the InArts Laboratory of the IU and the C' Sculpture Studio of ASFA, facilitating cross-institutional collaboration.
In-person faculty is (in alphabetic order): Daphne Dragona (Sustainability in curatorial practices), Dalila Honorato (Narrative fiction and in-situ observation), Iannis Zannos (Interactive media and performing arts) and Adam Zaretsky (Bioart and bioethics research methodologies). Additionally, the program welcomes: Guest Curator Khristina Ots (Nature-driven technologies) and Visiting Artist Mindaugas Gapševičius (DIY bioart practices).
Program highlight is the combination of faculty and student presentations, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Participants will engage in: Research Methodologies for Hybrid Arts, bridging artistic practice and social sciences, Experimental Wet Labs and Biohacking, exploring alternative science-art practices, Sustainability and Art Management, addressing environmental concerns in art practice, and Media Archaeology and Interdisciplinary Art, investigating speculative futures through hybrid discourse.
A key feature of the program is the café-philo as student project feedback sessions, designed to foster critical discussions and peer review in an informal setting. The program will conclude with a Hydra tour and a closing dinner, providing further opportunities for networking and reflection. While the program is primarily designed as an in-person event, registered students who are unable to travel will be provided with video access to the activities.
