Την Τρίτη 19 Μαΐου, στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος «Διεύθυνση Οπτικοακουστικού Έργου», θα έχουμε τη χαρά να παρακολουθήσουμε τη διάλεξη του Mark Hensley, βραβευμένου Re-Recording Mixer και filmmaker με πολυετή διεθνή εμπειρία στη μουσική παραγωγή, το audio post-production και τον κινηματογράφο.

Η διάλεξη θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 18:00 στο Υπολογιστικό Κέντρο 1, Κτίριο 3, Τμήμα Τεχνών Ήχου και Εικόνας (Πλατεία Τσιριγώτη 7) και είναι ανοικτή σε όλους.

Σύντομη Περιγραφή:

Στην παρουσίασή του, ο Mark Hensley θα μιλήσει για το audio post-production και θα παρουσιάσει ιδέες και πρακτικές για το πώς μπορούν να δημιουργηθούν projects υψηλής ποιότητας με πολύ μικρό budget. Στόχος της διάλεξης είναι να ενθαρρύνει και να εμπνεύσει τους φοιτητές να δημιουργήσουν τα δικά τους έργα, ενώ παράλληλα θα απαντήσει σε ερωτήσεις και θα δώσει συμβουλές σχετικά με ζητήματα παραγωγής και δημιουργικής διαδικασίας.

Σύντομο Βιογραφικό

Mark was born in Streator, Illinois, USA but moved to the Netherlands when he was 6 with his family. As a teenager, Mark played in several bands and began his career in the music industry . At twenty three, he moved back to the United states and enrolled in a one year audio engineering program at the College for Recording Arts in San Francisco. Upon graduation, he started interning at the world renowned Plant Studios in Sausalito, where he soon was hired as a staff assistant engineer. In his free time Mark also started producing local bands, which resulted in a platinum record for engineering the “4 Non Blondes” hit single “What’s up”.
During a trip to Vancouver, BC, Mark met his wife Peggy resulting in his decision to relocate there. It was in Vancouver where he was introduced to audio post production for film and TV which sparked a new interest. Within a few years he was hired as staff Re-Recording mixer at one of the top studios in Vancouver “Post Modern Sound”. His work there resulted in 8 Canadian sound Award Nominations and 3 wins.
In 2008 Mark decide to push his career further, and moved to Los Angeles.
After move to LA he was nominated for 3 CAS awards and 3 Emmys. He won an Emmy in 2018 for his work as Lead Re-Recording Mixer on Genius: Picasso.

Film Making 

In 2016 Mark produced a short film written by his wife Peggy. Unhappy with the final product, the project was shelved. Two years later, Mark had an idea for another short film which his wife then turned into a script. Mark made the decision to direct it himself. Over a period of 4 ½ years Mark directed and shot 12 short films and several music videos. Last year he finished his first feature “Clown N Out”. Shot guerilla style without a crew, with Mark also handling all post-production, the film went on to win Best Director at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, and is currently available on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Mark is currently in pre-production for 3 features, to be shot on Corfu.
