Nicolás Parise Schneider is a geographer and researcher from Mendoza, Argentina, specializing in political ecology and water management. He has worked at the Institute of Human, Social and Environmental Sciences (INCIHUSA–CONICET) and taught at the National University of Cuyo, where he also coordinated socio-educational projects connecting students with environmental organizations. Nicolás’s work bridges academic research, community engagement, and artistic collaboration. He has also taught Political Ecology at the Higher Education Institute General San Martín. In 2022, Nicolás completed a residency at the Centro Cultural Toda la Teoría del Universo in Biobío, Chile, where he developed participatory methodologies with communities defending water rights. His current projects explore collective research practices in socio-environmental conflicts across Latin America, aiming to generate situated knowledge for more just territorial transformations. At present, Nicolás works as a map illustrator within the framework of the Plan Colibrí project and on an Atlas of river basins with the Microutopias publishing house.
