Body-centered paradigm in VR: A Manifesto with Gonzo Lolita VR: soma-centered paradigm for Human-Machine interactions in Virtual Reality Submission Themes: Cybernetics in Contemporary Art, Gaming, Human-Computer Interaction, New Aesthetic, Virtual Reality - Augmented Reality - Mixed Reality Submission registration code: 9dru3672 Abstract: In this poster, we present an ongoing research- creation blending interaction design, photography and Virtual Reality. We propound a new paradigm for HMI in VR based on the Body: body-centered or soma-centered (from greek ( σῶμα, sỗma) body). This paradigm, we propose to name it Gonzo, after this acception: a 1st POV storytelling, idiosyncratic, assuming subjectivity in the experience of art. To highlight the salient role of the body in this experience, we have designed a VR Gonzo game named Gonzo Lolita based on anamorphosis. It is a cyber-feminist piece of art and a Gonzo Manifesto.
