Sonic Art

Sound Art can be autonomous as a form of artistic expression or it can be combined with other arts and mediums. The module aims: a) to approach the idea of Art in sound creation through a historical reference to the modern artistic styles and the development of mediums, and also through aesthetic analysis of artistic works (electroacoustic music, sound art, sound installations, live electronics), and b) to encourage sound creation practically, through individual or team-work sound compositions, autonomous or in combination with image. The language of electroacoustic music is utilized as the aesthetic basis in theory and practise.
