Short Description:

The course Digital Illustration - Animation focuses on the wide range of forms of imaging, which is found in modern forms of mass communication projects and applied aesthetics. Specifically, the main orientation of the course is defined as the training of students in the fundamental aesthetic approaches that characterize digital content projects such as static and animated computer graphics. Through a series of lectures and exercises attempted integration of artistic language in the new computational representation means direct objective the production of audiovisual works and useable applications. Emphasis is placed on using digital programs in terms of creativity, skills development and expansion of morphoplastic possibilities of students.

Objectives:

Basic questions such as "dematerialization in realization" are the starting point for what can happen in the space as a result through painting, sculpture or installation of audiovisual work. By setting the parameter of time (internal, external real or not), the role of the creator is examined by periods and how he interprets these same materials in today's technological environment.

The produced works, in addition to the possibility of exhibiting in suitable places such as exhibitions and festivals, will simultaneously constitute the creation of a personal organized portfolio of works on the internet, in printed and electronic form, resulting in the creation of a professional profile.

Syllabus:

Thirteen work weeks.
The course will theoretically show how historically the arts have been affected by technological developments and how these have affected culture and mass culture. We will see how visual artists, filmmakers, etc. they used analog and digital media painting, sculpture, video, experimental films, etc. as an expressive visual language and we will analyze their reasoning.

The course will introduce students Theoretically and practically to the realization of analogue and digital projects with an emphasis on "Motion Graphics and Digital Illustration" the analogue study of drawing and sculpture digital techniques of motion graphics, principles of motion and special effects etc. Students will learn a variety of technical approaches to the production of painting and sculptural form and "spatio-temporality" in video art. The purpose of the background is the development of the personal unique visual aesthetic effect by combining analogue and digital arts.
