TABOO - TRANSGRESSION - TRANSCENDENCE

The organizers of the 6th Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence in Art & Science aka TTT2025 Ljubljana, have released the preliminary program featuring sessions and roundtables which will take place from Sept. 10 to 12 at the Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture in Ljubljana.

PIFcamp is a 7-day international summer camp in the Slovenian nature organised by Projekt Atol Institute and Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory. The 11th edition Summer Hacking Camp is happening July 27 – August 2 at Soča Valley, hosting 40 participants & more than 20 projects from the fields of new-media art, DIY electronics, modular synths, bio-art, citizen science, live coding, open-source technology & free software, food & nature hacking.

The FeralAIR 2025 residency is now open for applications! Artists, makers, and researchers working at the intersection of art, technology, and the maker movement are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to develop and present their projects in Hallein, Austria.

The Organizing Committee of the Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science (TTT) Conference is delighted to announce its sixth international gathering, taking place from September 9-13, 2025, at Kino Šiška in Ljubljana, Slovenia. TTT2025 invites submissions from artists, researchers, and thinkers who explore interdisciplinary themes within art and science to submit their papers, artist-talks and artwork presentation proposals until 31 December 2024 via the conference's digital platform. A new film by Serafim Parsaloglou Marathias, student at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, TTTlabs BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC): New Repro-Zombie Studies (NR-ZS) – Undead Bioart / Bodyart on the Beach, offers a closer look at a unique art camp held from April 5-14, 2024, at the Annex of the Athens School of Fine Arts on Crete.

We are excited to announce the release of the official TTT2025 teaser video, edited by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University faculty member Tania Tsiridou! This teaser offers a glimpse into the themes and atmosphere of the upcoming Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science conference, which will take place from September 9 to 13, 2025, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, hosted by Kino Šiška.

The Terrabytes Glitch Lab, a phygital collective founded by Augusto Calçada and Xristina Sarli, announces the launch of the TTTLab Official VR World. Developed during their online interaction with participants of the TTTlabs BioFeral.BeachCamp Fall 2024 on the island of Crete from September 15 to 25, this immersive virtual reality project brings together artists, researchers, and technologists to explore new forms of creative expression that blend the digital and physical worlds.

Dr. Heidi Hehnly-Chang (USA) and Dr. Boryana Rossa (Bulgaria/USA) from Syracuse University have been selected to participate in TTTfellows: Art and Science Residency 2024 Fall taking place on 23 September - 4 October 2024 (online) and 7-18 October 2024 in-person on the island of Corfu. TTTfellows is organized by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, within the framework of Rewilding Cultures, a project co-financed by the European Union, and will be hosted in collaboration with the Corfu Central Public Historical Library - Corfu Tech Lab, the Corfu Aquarium and BiHELab.

This reading group is teamed with the launch of the Feral Labs Node Book #2: Feralities published by Bioart Society and Projekt Atol Institute in the context of the project Rewilding Cultures.

We want to thank everyone who applied for the Rewilding Cultures Mobility Conversation 2024. We received over 100 applications and the Rewilding Cultures partner associations have now gone through all of the applications. Each partner association selected their own candidate, which means we were able to issue grants for 8 applicants. In the end, Rob la Frenais (Cultivamos Cultura), Višnja Kisić and Goran Tomka (Bioart Society), Miranda Moss (Schmiede Hallein), Björn Kröger (Radiona), Maryia Kamarova (ART2M / Makery), Alqumit Alhamad (Culture Yard), Johanna Ruotsalainen (Projekt Atol), and Ghazal Ramzani (Ionian University) were selected to receive a grant for their project.

The Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University, on the occasion of the 17th Audiovisual Arts Festival inaugurates on 28 May 2024 at 11:00 am the exhibition “Mutagenic Futures”, with artworks by artists Ken Rinaldo and Adam Zaretsky.

Applications are now open for TTTfellows: Art and Science Residency - Fall 2024, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and the Ionian University within the Feral Labs Network. Dedicated to issues related to new reproductive technologies, TTTfellows is taking place on 23 September - 4 October 2024 (online) and 7-18 October 2024 (on-place) on the island of Corfu.

The TTTfellows II – Artificial Insemination - successfully concluded its sessions from March 1st to 15th (online) and continued on-site from March 18th to 29th, 2024, on Corfu and Othonoi Islands. The program, detailed on the Ionian University residencies' website, focused on exploring Artificial Insemination, In Vitro Fertilization, Germline Gene Editing and Zombie Studies. It engaged a select group of participants, including Robert Lisek, Clarissa Ribeiro, Adam Zaretsky and Dalila Honorato, whose diverse backgrounds and expertise enriched the discussions and practices.

Applications are now open for TTTfellows: Art and Science Residency - Spring 2024, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and the Ionian University within the Feral Labs Network. Dedicated to issues related to new reproductive technologies, TTTfellows is taking place on 1-15 March 2024 (online) and 18-29 March 2024 (on-place) on the islands of Corfu and Othonoi. 

Applications are now open for TTTlabs: BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC) II - Spring 2014, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and the Ionian University within the Feral Labs Network. Dedicated to issues related to new reproductive technologies, TTTlabs: BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC) II under the theme New Repro-Zombie Studies (NR-ZS) - Undead Bioart / Bodyart on the Beach is taking place on 5-14 April 2024 (on-place) on the island of Crete.
