From February 2022, three Universities from Croatia, Greece and Serbia, along with one Croatian NGO partner, work on co-designing and testing a new, interdisciplinary MA programme named "ASH-Art, Science & Health".

The ASH MA aims to propose a novel dimension within the field of health humanities directed towards exploring, re-imagining and defining the contribution of contemporary art in social wellness and well-being. In the next 15 months and with the support of EU through Erasmus Mundus Design Measures, Academy of Fine Arts (University of Zagreb, Croatia), Department of Audio and Visual Arts (Ionian  University, Greece), Faculty of Media and Communication (Singidunum University, Serbia) and NGO KONTEJNER (Croatia), will work together to create a completely new two-year international MA programme aiming to intensify the role of art research and practice in health humanities and critically re-think the social, environmental, philosophical, economical and biological concept of health in its broadest sense.

The ASH MA aims to delve into both current and future state of numerous relevant and thought-provoking thematic areas such as health technologies, ageing and disability issues, environmental sustainability, human and non-human agencies, scientific well-being challenges as well as historical and cultural role of practices such as ritual, placebo, recipes and anatomic imaging.

Initiating ASH as socially and internationally relevant MA programme methodologically based in practice and theory, transdisciplinary approach and cross-sectoral cooperation, the consortium of partners aims to foster strong multi-dimensional approach to the complex thematic framework, engaging at the same time with an array of experts and associate institutions, and supporting interaction as well as professional and personal development of  students, scientists, experts, scholars, academics and collaborators involved in the process.
