The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University is pleased to announce the 19th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu from Thursday, May 7 to Sunday, May 17 (Opening: May 7th, (19:30) Location: Municipal Gallery of Corfu: People’s Garden). The Festival is one of the most important institutions in the field of contemporary audiovisual arts, bringing together creators, researchers, and students from Greece and abroad.
For the past twenty years, Audiovisual Arts Festival has been organized by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts in collaboration with the ERHMEE Laboratory – Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University, highlighting contemporary trends in sound and visual creation. This year’s program includes a rich variety of artistic events in the fields of Visual, Sonic, Performing, and Interactive Arts, creating a multidimensional experience for the audience.
This year’s festival program hosts a series of exhibitions and events featuring guest artists that highlight the dynamic relationship between contemporary art, the digital realm, and the sonic field.
The Festival’s reach continues to expand, providing an ideal meeting point for the artistic and academic community through intermedia events, educational activities, and academic conferences.
