Lampros Karvounis
Doctoral Candidate, University of Crete

Karvounis Lampros graduated in 1987 from the Pedagogical Academy Mytilene.
From 2000 to 2002, he was trained in Teacher in service Education, University of Crete Department of Primary Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education Course Studies and Computer Science.
From 2004 to 2007 he studied in the Master's program University of Crete Department of Primary Education the field of "Information Technology and Education - Modern Technologies in Science Teaching." thesis entitled “IT and educational process. Implementation of Educational Environment for Distance Teaching Physics-Electricity Module” From 2008 to 2014 he is o PhD candidate in University of Crete Department of Primary Education Thesis entitled “Teaching Presence – The role of the teacher in the learning environments of synchronous transmission with an emphasis in Teaching Utilization of Interactive Videoconferencing”.
He has attended many seminars workshops and conferences on various topics in Science of Education. He has presented papers with other lecturers in national and international conferences. He has written articles with other writers in Greek and international scientific journals.
He is a teacher for the last 24 years in schools of Aegina, Athens and Rethymno. Now he is the director of the primary School at Adele- Rethymno. He is an educator in several adult teaching projects.
From 2005 to 2014 He participates in the team of ‘‘ODYSSEAS” project for the development and implementation of cross-curricular activities of distant collaborative learning via VC between elementary schools of Greece.
From 2012 to 2014 he participates as an external cooperator in the Centre of Intercultural and Migration Studies (EDIAMME) in University of Crete Department of Primary Education for the design, implementation and evaluation of educational enviroment for distance teaching Greek Mythology and Greek History online.
