Zoi Resta has obtained her Bachelor degree on Translation and Interpreting at the Ionian University, her Master degree on Conference Interpreting and her PhD on Interpreting Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During her studies she was offered academic distinctions and scholarships from the General Directorate of Interpreting (EU), the Greek Ministry of Education, the University of Innsbruck and the Aristotle University. Since 2011 she has been working as a conference interpreters’ trainer at the Ionian University and as a freelance translator and interpreter. She has also participated in many national and international conferences, with announcements regarding interpreting studies. Currently she is also member of the cultural initiative “The Language Project”, promoting translation in the general public.
