The political and social action of cultural institutions in contemporary society is an issue that is becoming increasingly important as cultural organizations are widely recognized as decisive factors for the development and promotion of social values, political consciousness and social cohesion. Therefore, cultural institutions must not limit themselves to the promotion and preservation of cultural heritage, but must also take a clear, active role in promoting social change and developing a political consciousness linked to the social issues of the time. In this lecture, we study their contribution to social and political development, as well as the promotion of a society of equality and equity. For this reason, we will focus on the concept of accessibility in the field of culture and especially participatory accessibility" and its role in the creation of an "art for all”.
