
Giannis Perperidis teaches philosophy of Artificial Intelligence and Cyberspace at the Department of History of the Ionian University. He is also a postdoctoral researcher in the project "A(I)nthropology during the Anthropocene: hybrid research and creative pedagogy at the limits of the human" (research supervisor: A. Apostolidou). He has been a postdoctoral researcher at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of History and Philosophy of Science) and at Panteion University (Department of Political Science and History). He received his PhD from the Department of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina, for the completion of which he was awarded a scholarship by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.). G. Perperidis has authored articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including Technology in Society, Frontiers in Blockchain, Philosophy and Technology, Automaton, Ariadne and more. In addition, he has contributed chapters to edited volumes in Greek and English. Apart from his research contributions, G. Perperidis has translated into Greek Andrew Feenberg's Between Reason and Experience (ROPI, 2022), he has participated in the collective translation of Silke Helfrich and David Bollier's book Free, Fair and Alive (Nefeli, 2022), and has contributed to the volume Philosophy of the Digital. An Introduction (ed. G. Mangini, published by University Publications of Crete), by translating three texts. G. Perperidis specializes in the fields of Philosophy of Technology, Philosophy of the Digital and Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, as well as in the political tradition of the Commons and Digital Commons.
