
Yolanda Kapérda is a graduate with honors from the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece (ΚΘΒΕ) and the Department of English Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (ΑΠΘ).
She worked as an actress at the National Theatre of Northern Greece from 1994 to 1999, as well as at the Municipal and Regional Theatres of Ioannina, Veria, and Kozani, and at the “Proskinio” and “Athenon” theatres in Athens, among others.
As an actress, she collaborated with directors such as V. Papavasileiou, G. Rigas, Th. Gkonis, P. Papadopoulos, G. Bakolas, N. Kontouri, N. Chourmouziadis, V. Kontaxis, M. Sionas, and others. She was also involved in dance for ten years.
She starred in the feature film Three Seasons by Maria Iliou, participated in short films and commercials.
She is a founding member of the non-profit theatrical company Theatrical Sympagnia.
She directed and performed in productions such as Odos Oneiron - Manos Hadjidakis, Chess Story, Antigone + Antigone, Four Images of Love, Cinderella, Black Lizard, Migratory Kisses, Animal Farm, Lament, Hands That Don’t…, among others.
She also directed the productions A Free Couple, Metropol 1938, How Lemonade is Made (an inclusion project funded by the Ministry of Culture), Duende, The Boy with the Suitcase (Municipal and Regional Theatre of Ioannina), The Story of a Cat Who Taught a Seagull to Fly, and more.
She has taught improvisation and acting in public and private education for both adults and teenagers (Municipal and Regional Theatre of Ioannina, Public Vocational Training Institutes, etc.).
Since 2022, her productions and initiatives have been funded by the Ministry of Culture. In 2016, she founded the Theatrical Workshop of Theatrical Sympagnia in Ioannina, where she teaches acting and improvisation. In 2021, she founded Stage 125, a theatrical venue where she serves as Artistic Director.
