Gina Petropoulou is a director and producer of educational and creative documentaries, with academic background in Classical and Film Studies from Université de Montréal. Since 2014, she has been the Artistic Director of the Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival and the founder of the Kalamata Creative Documentary Center. She has led numerous historical and social documentaries in Greece and abroad, and served as Head of Film Production at the Foundation of the Hellenic World (1996–2000), overseeing a number of award-winning films. She is a founding member of the Hellenic Film Academy and the non-profit organization “Ton Anonymon,” dedicated to the collection and documentation of amateur film footage (1922–1970). Her work has received distinctions at national and international festivals.
