Discussion on themes concerning gender equality, exploring the differences within these themes as well as various approaches. Ms. Flessa will present and analyze excerpts from the following films:
Eleni Boukouri Altamoura, the first Greek female painter - 2010
Kassiani: The hymnographer of the 8th century - 2006
The first Greek female teachers - 1991

The lecture will focus on both the narrative feminist approaches of these films and the period of their production. It will analyze the ways in which gender equality themes are represented across different eras, as well as the approach of the director herself.
