Approaches to Structure and Interaction in Installation and Sculpture
As sculpture evolves in a post-technical and global interface, modes of representation, construction, narration and interaction grow increasingly varied. In particular, the installation which often couples the technical and structural, has become the standard for the immersive aesthetic experience deepening the connection and source for interactivity. In this lecture, I will outline approaches to installation art that emphasize or combine physical, cultural, social, institutional and political interaction.
