Stelarc

Stelarc is a performance artist who explores alternate anatomical architectures. He is Honorary Professor of Art and Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh and holds an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Monash University, Melbourne. In 2010 he was awarded the Ars Electronica prize in Hybrid Arts. He received the Australia Council’s Emerging and Experimental Arts Award in 2015 and is currently a Distinguished Research Fellow in the School of Design and Art (SODA) at Curtin University, Perth. His work is represented by the Scott Livesey Galleries, Melbourne.
