Walking the senses in the city: Psychogeography as an artistic method
Workshop date: Thursday, May 15, 2014
The central idea of this workshop is to provide students the potential of a re-consideration of the senses in the city as well as their creative intersections with contemporary art practice. This workshop brings together the main areas of the Department of AudioVisual Arts (visual, audio, technology, theory) with the concepts of psychogeography, senses, maps and city. Therefore, it aims to provide ideas and intermedia aspects as motivational platform of students’ art practice – by “re-tuning” and re-considering the importance of the senses in relation to different media forms.
