Varvara Garneli is a member of the Laboratory Teaching staff in the field of Multimedia and Video Games, Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University. She additionally participates in the Interactive Arts - In.Arts Laboratory, Ionian University. She holds a Ph.D. entitled “A Video-game making approach in Science Education: Exploring Computational Thinking Skills Development and Student Motivation,” since 2017. Her research interests involve the Design and Development of Serious Games, Content Integration, Multiplayer Games, Game Programming, and Multimedia Applications. She has been involved in the design and development of many digital games.
