The 7th International Conference on Digital Culture & AudioVisual Challenges (DCAC 2025) is just around the corner, and this year marks a significant step forward in both scale and scope. The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University is pleased to announce the opening of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu from Thursday, May 8 to Sunday, May 18. On Thursday 08/05/2025 at 19:30 at the People's Garden (Gallery of the Municipality of Central Corfu) the opening of the 18th Festival of Audiovisual Arts (8 May - 18 May 2025) will take place.

On Thursday 08/05/2025 at 19:30 the opening of the Main Exhibition of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu, from Thursday 8 to Sunday 18 May 2025, will be held by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.

The Steering Committee of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival (#AVfest2025) of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, in collaboration with the ERHMEE Lab - Department of Music Studies, of the Ionian University invites students and anyone who is interested in joining the volunteers’ team. Volunteer registration deadline: 11 April 2025

The 17th Audiovisual Arts Festival, a central event of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts (AVARTS) of the Ionian University, ended on Sunday (02/06) with great success and large public attendance. For 10 days (May 23 – June 2, 2024) an original program of artistic, scientific and educational events provided the city of Corfu with new cultural experiences, gaining the attention of the academic and the local community.

The 17th Festival of Audiovisual Arts celebrates this year the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts (AVARTS) of the Ionian University, presenting an extroverted, dynamic, and rich program of artistic, scientific, and educational events that fills the city of Corfu with images and sounds. The opening of the festival is the central anniversary event and will take place on Thursday (23/05) at 19:30 in the People's Garden.

The Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University organizes the 6th International Conference Digital Culture & AudioVisual Challenges (DCAC-2024) which will be held in hybrid way - online and in the Ionian Academy in Corfu (Greece), on Friday 24 May and on Saturday 25 May 2024. Also on 26-27 May, 2024 the joint conference "Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" will take place. The proceedings of DCAC-2019 have been released by the Ionian University Publications - Department of Audio and Visual Arts (Corfu) and are available in the attached single online volume with: ISSN: 1613-0073 | ISBN: 978-960-7260-74-1.

The post-event video-spot of the 16th Festival of Audiovisual Arts which is held by the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, in collaboration with the ERHMEE Lab - Department of Music Studies, of the Ionian University, in Corfu, Greece, is now available illustrating the range of scientific events and artistic activities that take place within the framework of the Festival.
