


Spiros Papadimitriou
He graduated from the School of Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and obtained a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at A.U.Th., in Architectural Design and Visual Arts, where he has been teaching since 2004, specializing in “Digital Architectural Design.” He is a member of the coordinating committee and the teaching team for the postgraduate program "Advanced Design: Innovation and Interdisciplinarity in Architectural Design" at the Department of Architecture, A.U.Th. He has received awards and distinctions in international and national competitions and has participated in numerous exhibitions, publications, and conferences both in Greece and abroad. He also curated the "digitaltopographies" exhibition and authored the book of the same title. Since 1999, he has been working as an independent architect, participating in architectural competitions and undertaking projects through a network of diverse collaborations. In 2011, he was awarded the First Prize for Young Architects by the Association of Architects (SADAS). His completed project “Paramana,” the central square of the Municipality of Thermi, was honored by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture and shortlisted for the 2011 Mies Van Der Rohe Awards.
