Natasa Roustani

Natasa Roustani is a primary school teacher (Faculty of Primary Education,AUTH 2010), an actress ("Dilos" drama school 2016) and a multimedia researcher (Master's degree on Graphic Arts and Multimedia, HOU 2023).

She has been working at the public school since 2015, she has contributed to significant performances as an actress(Mother's Ring, C for Circus 2018-2020, Metamorphosis by Ovidius, C for Circus, Athens& Epidaurus Festival 2019, Canto si tu Cantas, by Nikos Kornilios 2020 etc) and she has directed and animated the animation short 'Summer Holidays' which has been screened by international festivals (Icona, New filmmakers NY, Animation Marathon, ADFF, etc).

 As part of her master's degree thesis, she created the project Glossophobia, a hybrid installation on the intersections of art and technology, connecting heart pulse sensors to animation assets through Mind+ blocks coding.

The year to date she is working with her pupils on the educational program '3rd bell- Opera' in a co-operation with the National Opera while also she is on rehearsals for the performance 'The humanization of Whaganui river', funded by the Ministry of Culture.

Her research interests are located on the semiotics of intermedia in performative arts and their social-political extensions.
