The process of creating detailed artwork for storyboards in the film industry can be time-consuming, it is clearly a laborious process and aims to materialize generic concepts and ideas to paper. In order to improve efficiency and productivity, this research proposes the use of a scalable text descriptive methodology in order to combine human creativity with AI algorithms. This methodology utilizes “prompt injection” to provide detailed descriptions of objects and their parameters, allowing for the production of accurate and precise artwork. Through a comprehensive review of the current available systems that can aid towards our main goal, this research examines the current state-of-the-art in AI-generated imagery and its capabilities in high-detail artwork production. The research proposes a new methodology that can be adopted within the film industry enabling the integration of AI-generated imagery into the storyboard development process, leading to faster and more accurate production. This work presents the evaluation of the proof of concept that is conducted by testing it in real-life scenarios within the illustration, game, and film industries. The outcome of this research will provide a useful tool for artistic experimentation and rapid prototyping while enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the film industry's storyboard development process.
