Digital Multimedia Content Design and Development
The course presents modern theories and methods for the design and development of static and interactive content, targeting digital media applications and internet-based delivery. Quality of Service (QoS) and content adaptation issues are presented, enabling the production of content featuring modern compression methods, efficient transmission and adaptation. At the end of the course, students should be able to produce suitable content for the development of both conventional and non-conventional audiovisual responsive systems, including virtual and augmented reality, cartographic projections and interactive installations using sensory components. Specially designed exercises complement the lectures, aiming to engage the participants in the practical production process of content design and development.
