“13” was created as part of the AVA944 Video Art course of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts (Ionian University, Corfu). The video was created with the help of Rafaela Mavromati, who shot the pictures of Aris (creator of the video) eating the apple and counting teeth. The video's theme was determined by the professors; time, decline, destruction. In 13, the stop motion effect is prevalent. It was used to aesthetically approach the concept of passing time in a slightly different way, while featuring decline and destruction. It is important to note that the professors deemed important the inclusion of the act of eating or food in the video. This was the supposed way of approaching decline and destruction in this project.
